Katu Otsutsuki or simply Katu is a Shinobi, Meister, Knight, Demon Hunter, and Pirate from the kingdom of Acedia. Katu was the husband of Kenzi Otsutsuki, who was also his weapon partner, the former master of Nagato Uzumaki, and the father of Alexander Otsutsuki. Soon after becoming the Jinchuriki of Ichibi, or Shukaku, Katu was thought to have been killed by the villainous Kronos, but in reality, survived due to his recent discovery in God Hand. After being found by Akashi, Katu soon went to Area 11 to discover it in ruins, where he found his wife Kenzi Otsutsuki to be dead. Falling into a deep rage and depression, blaming his previous team Dusk for not protecting her; Katu went on a rampage before eventually being found by Void; where he joined them as an ally and started his campaign to crash the Moon into Earth. After a lengthy battle with his former allies, Katu, nearly defeated, prepared to finish them off with Ea. However, his former best friend stabbed him in the heart with Gae Buidhe before he could do so, killing him. As he layed there in the arms of his friends, dying, Katu realized his mistakes and passed on to the afterlife; eager to reunite with his dead wife.
Personality[]
Katu is depicted as being a bright and stoic individual who believes that the world can be united, but only if the people in general can unite. Katu however does have a rather dark side, and with this dark side he acts extremely hostile, and this is probably from the death of his parents at a young age. Quite some time later, Katu has become a much colder person. He isn't as sensitive, he isn't as talkative, he isn't as much as he used to be. He's darker, and ready for anything. After losing Kenzi, the greatest life in his life, Katu's view on the world became even worse than it was before. He now see's the world as a pitch-black pit of hell, and wishes to end the people in it. But this is honestly not because he despises the people in it, but rather he wishes to end their misery or the misery they could feel. He is much of a joker, commonly joking with his enemies as if they were allies, which, most of his enemies used to be.
Appearance[]
Katu is depicted as having medium-blue, somewhat-long hair that falls to his neck, in which one large part of it droops down and seemingly covers his left eye. Katu has fair skin, and black iris' which make it appear that Katu's eyes are pure black excluding the sclera. He now usually wears a purple, high-collared cloak-thing with three silver buttons that keep it held in position. Under this he wears a very light grayish/purple shirt that stops somewhere around his neck, with long sleeves. For pants he wears normal dark blue pants that are usually found on shinobi, with from the shins down he wears purple boots/sandals with open toes and heels that match his pants. He also has an orange pouch kept on by a strap that holds unknown material. Katu wields an eye technique called the rinnegan, in which his eyes look like what the inside of an onion would, with multiple rings that are a light shade of purple with the middle ring being a little darker. Katu also wields his clans signature sharingan and even eternal mangekyo sharingan. The sharingan makes Katu's eyes appear red with it's pupil in the center, with a ring going through the middle which holds his current three tomoe. Katu's mangekyo sharingan has it's pupil in the center surrounded by a pinwheel like shape which appears as somewhat of a curved swastika, with three black streaks that are attached to it.
History[]
Katu was born in the kingdom Acedia by a Uchiha Clan father and a Senju Clan mother, with several siblings. Katu lived a happy life with his family until the age of ten, where he watched his family get brutally murdered by a gang of pirates, Katu unwillingly killed them with his rinnegan, and also unlocked his Sharingan at the same time, but passed out later out of exhaustion. When he woke up he had no memory of what happened, but seeing both the pirates and his family dead, Katu swore he would one day end all the violence in the world at all cost.
Two years later, Katu became an assassin for hire, despite his young age. Most people hired him as a joke, just so he could get killed; but when he completed his assigned missions, they were forced to pay him reluctantly. He had fun doing this job, despite knowing that it was dangerous and he could very easily get killed. He was put on many wanted posters throughout kingdoms. One day, he was hired to murder the emperor of Cupiditas. He nearly succeeded, if he was not caught by one of his guards. Katu single handedly held off and killed most of the guards, but was forced to retreat, as the assassination was already ruined. Katu later quit his job as a mercenary for hire, and just began travelling.
Katu traveled for years without a home, constantly training in order to make himself stronger and in order to return the world back to it's peaceful ways by finding Requiem's will. Katu met many people throughout his journey, including a large muscular man who refused to tell him his true name, and just said he call him Smith. Smith taught Katu many things about life, and told him that he also wishes to bring peace to the world by finally finding Requiem's Will. Katu travelled many years with Smith, and was glad to call him friend, and Smith no doubt took up the father figure role for Katu. Eventually, Katu moved away, and never saw Smith again. This upset him, but he knew everything has to change, and constantly cursed himself out for ever trusting someone, a thing he promised he'd never do again.
To continue making money and such, he once again became an assassin. This time, he was hired by even more people, recognizing him as that famous assassin from when he was a child. Katu did many more missions, that were even more dangerous, and always finished them without a scratch. He gained much more money then he ever had, and was practically rich after a while. He was happy, and thanks to his old friend Smith, he was able to live off the land if he ever got stranded in the wild. He lived the high life, money, women, possessions, he could do whatever he wanted. He lived in Acedia in a rather big mansion, but commonly visited his old house to clean it up.
After years and years of living in Acedia, Katu was confronted by a boy named Ian. Katu took Ian in, fed him well, training him, all that stuff. Ian also became Katu's weapon partner. The two were basically inseperable. Katu was glad that he could finally fully trust someone, and was glad to call Ian a brother to him. Three years later, Katu smelled a delicous thing coming from a house in Gula. Katu knocked on the door, and met Akuma and Sanguinem. He was pleased to meet them, and later Grey, who would later become his best friend, came in and he met all of them. (Not including DK in this cuz he sux.) Katu would later have many adventures with them, leading up to this point.
Abilities[]
Due to being four classes in total, Katu has mastered tons of abilities in order to use in battle. He uses these abilities to the fullest while fighting, as after his fight with Akuma, he swore he wouldn't play around again with his abilities or underestimate his opponent. Over the time he's been gone, his abilities have greatly increased. During his battle with Dusk, he dodged nearly every single one of their attacks, or they were just deduced useless due to his use of kamui.
Shinobi Abilities[]
Due to being a shinobi, Katu has learned how to use and manipulate chakra. Katu uses the two chakra natures of Fire and Lightning to his advantage but he still prefers hand to hand combat in most situations, seeing it more useful. Katu is most fond of the lightning and fire natures because of their raw power. Due to this, he mostly uses Great Fire Annihilation and Chidori. Katu has also learned to use both the earth and wind chakra natures. With this he can create powerful fissures in the ground with his hands, cause a specified area of land to fall down or rise up, or just plain lift up boulders and crush people with them. With wind release, Katu can make highly powerful blasts of wind capable of taking a grown man off his feet and into the air. Katu uses this to deflect projectiles mostly. Also with wind release, Katu is able to create thin slices of air fly at the opponent to cut them up. Katu is now able to use his rinnegan abilities, which allow him to manipulate the forces of gravity, create mechanical parts, revive people from the dead, summon animals, rip the souls from people, absorb ninjutsu, and use his chakra receivers to control six dead corpses to do his bidding, all with his abilities. Knight Abilities[]
Katu's special knight ability is Explosion, As its name suggests, enables its wielder to generate powerful explosions, whose sizes can be controlled and manipulated. Katu channels his ability through his sword; with a single slash, he can produce flares from the tip of his weapon, which explode when contact is made. Utilizing the explosives, he can also generate smokescreens to confuse enemies.
Meister Abilities[]
As a meister, Katu is extremely skilled in the use of weapons of all kinds. Katu normally used his weapon partner, Ian as a scythe so he could cut down opponents one by one. After Ian was killed in battle, Katu had Sanguinem put Ian's soul into a rock, which he then formed into a scythe which could turn into a sword. Katu also has an exceptional soul wavelength due to being a meister. He can also use wavelength communication and stuff. After that incident, Katu's main weapon partner was his siter, Kat Otsutsuki. Kat could transform into three different weapons; a bow and arrow, a shield, and a flail. As a bow and arrow, Kat could fire an unlimited suply of golden arrows with which drastically shock the opponent as they hit. When using his mana, Katu is able to fire a large golden arrow, if it hit or even if it didn't, would cause millions or thousands of arrows to rain down from the sky at a selected target. When in shield form, Kat could block anything with full mana. She could be completely stabbed and it would just bounce off of her. She could be smashed with a thousand ton hammer full of lightning, and it would just bounce off of her. But if she waste's even the slighest amount of mana, she would lose this ability and basically become a normal shield. As a flail, if she hit the ground, large fissures would spread about the area, and if she hit something, it would be knocked back no matter the defense. As soon as Kat married Grey, and Katu marry Kenzi, they traded weapon partners. I'll edit more on this when I feel like it.
Physical Abilities[]
Katu has physical abilities that far surpass that of a normal human, and even that of S-rank level shinobi. Katu excells in almost all forms of physical combat and is an expert at about 70 martial arts. In raw strength, Katu is able to dent or even break steel with a single punch. When in his titan form, Katu's physical strength is pushed to an even higher level to that where he can completely break almost any type of metal and even magically enhanced shields if he really tries to. Katu uses this to his advantage when the time is right as he does with all of his other physical capabilities. Katu has amazing speed, being able to run at speeds of about 3,000 MPH when focused. Katu has extreme agility, which is boosted to an even higher level due to his Sharingan. After his revival by God Hand, Katu decided to physically alter his body to an insane level; basically reformating his body so that it's made out of the White Zetsu substance that was in his lab. Doing so, his strength is now to beyond-superhuman levels, him being able to lift several hundred tons at best. This also means he can now regenerate nearly instantly. Katu also absorbed his titan form into himself; making his strength equal that of it. This means his regenerative properties are nearly instant, making him truly a force to be reckoned with.
Intelligence[]
Katu is an extremely intelligent being, in almost any situation. Especially in battle, Katu knows how to stratergize properly in order to get the best of his opponents. Even though this sometimes doesn't work. Katu, with preperation time, will always research his opponents abilities so he can use a stratergy to properly take them out. He is also very intellient in all sorts of things besides battle; such as mathematics, science, history, biology, chemistry, language, etc.
Gate of Babylon
The Gate of Babylon: King's Treasure is a golden, key-shaped shortsword that connects to Katu's "Dragon Vault", the treasury of Katu, allowing the user to easily access its contents. It connects the space of reality to the vault, opening an "invisible door" that allows for the contents to pass through upon the user's command. The items that pass through the gate form ripples in the empty air as they appear. They can be summoned anywhere, either directly to the users hands or anywhere in the direct vicinity. The rank changes from E to A++ due to reflecting on the ranks of the various contents of the treasury, and it is also once referred to as an EX ranked Noble Phantasm during the anime Fate/Zero due to containing Ea. The Gate becomes more powerful as the wealth of the owner increases, but if the treasury does not contain a wealth of valuables, then it will not be a useful Noble Phantasm. There is probably a Road of Babylon as well. Holding the key, called Key of the King's Law, Bab-ilu, vertically in the air and turning it, the parts around its grip begin to rotate, start to glow, and then settle. It releases a large, labyrinth-like, red pattern that can be seen covering the sky from a great distance away, and then it recedes into a small orb.
God Hand[]
God Hand: Twelve Labors is the blessing of the gods in the form of a curse of immortality that grants its user eleven extra lives through layered resurrection magic. Rather than being a materialized interpretation of the Twelve labors of Heracles, it is actually the gift bestowed directly by the gods that granted him immortality by paying for his sins after completing the tasks, but it was later achieved by Katu through unknown means. It is the ability that prevented him from dying when he was stabbed with the Gate of Babylon multiple times by Kronos and killed. It lacks an overt external manifestation such as a weapon or armor, but it can be said that the body of the user itself is the Noble Phantasm. It coats his body in tough armor that appears to be transparent. The armor has the property of negating the concept of damage received from any attack, magecraft, or Noble Phantasm that is B rank or lower. Rather than simply blocking the equivalent damage of such attacks, it is an ability with properties similar to a Conceptual Weapon that applies an outright "refusal" that goes beyond the rules of reality to negate the damage directly on the actual concept of ranks. It differs from Magic Resistance, which nullifies the actual magecraft, as it is an ability that doesn't acknowledge the damage received from the attack.
Sand Manipulation
As the jinchuriki of Shukaku, Katu has the unique ability to manipulate sand in all kinds of ways due to the tailed beasts' magnet release. With sand he can make weapons, create shields, and even make sand armor. Using sand, he can make clouds of it to fly, although he can already fly on his own, so it's pretty much useless. As well as all of this, he can create large tsunami's of sand and wrap other people in it, causing the sand to implode to brutally crush the target. When in his mad enhanced state, Katu can fully cover himself in sand to make it resemble Shukaku, basically becoming a mini-tailed beast. When mad enhanced, he can also enter his tailed beast mode which turns him into Shukaku fully.
Wood Release[]
Due to his extensive amount of training, and now that his soul is much darker and so is he, he can now use the legendary kekkei genkai. With his wood release, Katu is able to fully create giant stalks of wood to sprout out of the ground, and can control them as he wishes. With these stalks, he can make them wrap around a tailed beast in order to absorb it's power. He can also create wooden dragons. He also seems to grow small wooden stalks and sticks out of his right arm, and can break them off to throw them as a weapon. Katu also has the ability to transfer wood through any part of his body, such as punching someone and making wood stab right through them. He can make wooden domes to protect himself as well.
Eight Gates
1. The Gate of Opening (開門, Kaimon), located in the brain, removes the restraints of the brain on the muscles so 100% of the user's strength can be used whereas normally, a person can only use 20% of their muscles' strength to keep them from disintegrating. Unlocking this gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus. 2. The Gate of Healing (休門, Kyūmon; English TV "The Gate of Rest"), located in the brain, forcibly increases the user's physical strength and temporarily re-energises the body. 3. The Gate of Life (生門, Seimon), located on the spinal cord, allows the user to use the Reverse Lotus. The increased blood flow turns the skin red. 4. The Gate of Pain (傷門, Shōmon), located on the spinal cord, increases the user's speed and power. May cause muscle tissue to tear on use.
Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan Abilities
As he awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan upon the Death of his weapon partner and friend, Ian, Katu also gained the abilities that come with it, making him even more powerful. Katu can use all three of the main abilities as well as an extra ability granted by the Mangekyo Sharingan, and now as he has stolen his brother's eyes, he is able to use kamui with his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
Tsukuyomi - Tsukuyomi is noted to be one of the most powerful genjutsu in existence. It is unique to the Uchiha clan and only those who have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan can perform it. It is said to represent the "Spiritual World and Darkness", the antipode to Amaterasu — a ninjutsu of similar power. Tsukuyomi requires eye contact to be performed, trapping the target within an illusion completely under the user's control. Katu's prowess with the technique has allowed him to alter the perception of time with ease within the genjutsu to make a few seconds seem like many days as a means to torture the target. This results in the victim suffering psychological trauma that incapacitates them for a considerable period of time. Such a powerful technique is not without its disadvantages however. Due to the complexity of the illusion and the quickness with which it is executed, an enormous amount of chakra is necessary and an added amount of stress is placed on the left eye, leaving Katu's vision more blurred.
Amaterasu - Amaterasu is the highest level Fire Release technique. It is said to represent the "Material World and Light", the antipode to Tsukuyomi — a genjutsu of similar power and a fellow Mangekyō Sharingan dōjutsu. Use of the technique puts a great deal of strain on the user, usually causing their eyes to bleed. The jet-black flames of the Amaterasu, said to be "the fires from hell" and as hot as the sun, ignite at the focus of the user's vision. Though the flames have been stated to be unavoidable, Amaterasu has been avoided a few times by few people. The flames are capable of burning through mostly anything in their path, even smothering regular fire techniques with ease. Amaterasu is said to never stop burning; even when whatever is caught by Amaterasu is completely reduced to ash or destroyed, it can still continue burning for seven days and seven nights. It cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. The only thing that the flames have failed to burn into or through is Gaara of the Sand's chakra-infused sand. However, the flames burn fairly slower than ordinary flames. This allows anyone struck by Amaterasu an opportunity to remove whatever clothing or body parts have been caught ablaze before the flames spread further.
Susanoo - Susanoo is an ability granted to those who awaken the powers of both their Mangekyō Sharingan. It creates a gigantic, humanoid being that surrounds the user and fights on their behalf. As one of the strongest techniques granted to those that have acquired the Mangekyō Sharingan, it is the user's guardian deity, but at the same time, it consumes the user's lifeforce. According to Obito Uchiha, for a Sharingan user to activate Susanoo is a rarity. Since it is formed through the materialisation of the user's chakra, its abilities, appearance and colour vary among individuals, as Katu's susanoo is black in color while Weiss' is silver. While the user usually remains grounded within Susanoo, it is possible for them to freely move around within its body, as well as levitate inside of it. The user can allow others to enter Susanoo, or leave its body entirely. While Susanoo acts as a defence against external attacks, anything coming out of Susanoo will simply phase through it. As with other techniques granted by the Mangekyō Sharingan, the user's eyes and body are strained while using Susanoo and a large amount of their chakra is consumed. Katu has described this sensation as feeling pain in every cell in his body, which only increased as Susanoo developed. Because the user is able to freely pass through Susanoo, it is possible for an opponent to forcibly remove them from it; Gaara of the Sand, for example, was able to drag Madara Uchiha outside of his Susanoo using the sand under his feet. A sufficiently powerful attack can result in damage being done to Susanoo, especially during the technique's developmental stages, after which the user is left open to attack. Susanoo cannot defend against attacks which do not actually deal physical damage to it, such as strong lights and sounds, sound-based genjutsu.
Blaze Release - Blaze Release is an advanced chakra nature kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan, that allows them to manipulate black flames. Katu Otsutsuki uses this nature when manipulating the unquenchable black flames of Amaterasu, fashioning them into various weapons and defences. After entering its final form, Susanoo gained an orb of black flames, which serves as an alternate source of flames to manipulate with this nature. As stated by Grey, Katu casts the flames with his right eye, and controls them with his left. How he does this is currently unknown.
Kamui - The short-range version of Kamui, belonging to Katu's eyes, requires physical contact to warp a target. However, this eye has a unique variation of teleportation akin to intangibility. When activated, any part of the user's body that overlaps with a solid object is seamlessly warped to the other dimension, making it appear as though the user is phasing through them. This ability can dodge most attacks, and by overlapping their entire body into large objects, the user can completely conceal their presence while temporarily erasing all traces of their chakra. This ability can also be used to travel through the ground; a characteristic that Katu often exploits to ambush his opponents from below. The user also seemingly possesses the capability to extend this intangibility to whatever they are touching at the moment of activation, as long as they are able to maintain some form of contact with at least a part of the desired item or person.
Rinnegan Abilities
One who possesses the Rinnegan has access to a multitude of abilities, such as the ability to possess and use all six chakra nature transformations and the capacity to use any technique. The Rinnegan allows the user to see chakra, including the chakra points within the body, as well as otherwise invisible barriers. However, the Rinnegan's field of vision can be blocked by simple means such as smoke bombs. This dōjutsu can also completely decipher the Sage of the Six Paths' tablet, unlike the Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan. The Rinnegan grants the ability to summon and control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, though this cannot be done using an inauthentic Rinnegan. With this dōjutsu, Katu can perform the Limbo: Border Jail technique, creating corporeal shadows which are only visible to other dojutsu, mystic eyes, or someone with senses like Aku. The Rinnegan grants the user multiple abilities which are collectively referred to as the Six Paths Technique. The Deva Path can be used to attract and repel targets. The Asura Path can clad the user in mechanized armor and grant them various weapons. The Human Path can read minds, at the cost of ripping out the victim's soul. The Animal Path can summon various creatures which sport copies of the user's Rinnegan. The Preta Path can absorb chakra in any form. The Naraka Path can make use of the King of Hell for interrogation and restoration. In addition, the user is granted the Outer Path, which gives them control over life and death. It also allows the user to bind those who touch their chakra receivers as well as manifest the chakra chains of the Demonic Statue, which can be used to bind and control tailed beasts in a similar fashion to the Sharingan and Wood Release. The Outer Path grants a shared field of vision between the Rinnegan wielder, the King of Hell, and the creatures and reanimated corpses which have copies of the user's Rinnegan.
Gedo Mazou - Due to his strong connections with Void, and his Rinnegan, Katu was placed as the vessel for the Gedo Mazou, a giant body that was the original body of the Juubi/Shinju. Katu can completely control the Gedo Mazou with relative ease due to possessing the rinnegan, and usually has it stomp on his opponents, or crush them in some sort. He can even use it to make powerful blasts of chakra at his opponents, and even summon HUGE blasts of lightning from the husks on it's back.

Weapons[]
Ea - Sword of Rupture, Ea is a sword previously held by Gilgamesh and now by Katu. Unlike all of his other nameless weapons that were able to be passed on to other wielders over the course of history, it is a sword only Gilgamesh and now Katu possesses, a completely unique existence that can only be possessed by them, that is suited only for a ruler's use and makes him transcendent. Alexander had commented that the nature of the sword become more absurd as he views its power. It can be used as a close combat weapon wielded much like a regular sword, and even with its dull tip, it is able to pierce directly through an opponent's chest and slowly grind at their vitals inside.
Nameless Swords - Katu has literally almost an unlimited amount of nameless swords that don't really have anything special about them; rather just used for the GoB.
